Opawa Vanessa demolished a field far weaker than she has been racing against when winning the Veterans Sprint on Thursday. This field is a tad stronger, but she looks to have a class edge on the field. Todays’ Best Bet, Quaddie and Multi anchor.

Big Time Central just hunted along the rail to win the Veterans’ Race last week. Drawn to do the same. Just let’s hope the Bookies Give Us a Go.

Sending me delivered for us last week at SP $2.30. While she could only manage a fourth placing to Scotch on Thursday, back to Manukau could be the key. Looks a good win bet here.

Big Time Lena downgrades to C4 here. She will appreciate the drop-in class and looks a strong winning chance.

Race 11                        Portland Mark (8)

Portland mark has been freshened, but he will be ready to go. Look for him to be swooping around the field. Maybe be at better odds than normal for him.
