Firstly can we start by wishing all a very Merry Xmas and a safe and Happy New Year. It certainly has not been the finish to the year that we were hoping for but we just have to keep on keeping on , stick together and enjoy our families and celebrate the occasion. 

We will have another good days racing on Sunday , with a nice 12 race card , the first on their journey at 12.59pm and the last pings the lids at 4.44pm.

Saturday looks a little on the damp side , but Sunday should be a good day and we hope to find a few winners.

We will raffle off a large goodies basket , courtesy of Fay Lockhart and have a very tasty ham as second prize. Star bets continues on for the over 50 entrants and naturally our friendly caterers will be there to look after us.

Here are our selections for some Xmas funds. 

R1 . No4 Bigtime Lockey scored nicely last  week and can repeat. No8 Chance to Shine is a big danger with a good beginning.

R2 Very tidy affair this. No4 Hunter Lou is going well. No3 Just One Grin  was very swift in winning last week.

R3 No1 Narcissa Malfoy and No8 Youtan Polou are both very consistent and look a nice quinella.

R4 No6 Cappiello is jumping well and looks a strong chance. No2 Red Goes Faster will appreciate this box.

R5 No8 Opawa Dallas appeals here. No5 Schmeichel will go well if he can find the rail early on.

R6 No5 Foxtrot Mila has nice early speed. No8 Hunter George can be in the placings.

R7 No8 Wondering By can be dangerous here. No1 Opawa Selena looks a quinella prospect also.

R8 No5 Kiwi Moments looks one of the better bets today. No3 Panda Express is racing consistently also.

R9 No8 Bigtime Leena is just getting better each week. No3 Where’s Neville can place from the draw.

R10 No1 Fear to Tread has scored here before and looks good . No2 Opawa Turn can be the danger in a tidy line up.

R11 No6 Apache Blyde is deserving of another win. No5 Opawa Elliot can pop up here.

R12 Tricky way to finish the day . Perhaps No6 Waerenga Tribe and No2 Gotcha Tipsey , but tough race.
