Portland Nicky returned to racing after a layoff with a dominant win last Sunday. Steps back up to C3 here but her PBT indicates she will be competitive. Expect a repeat performance of last Sunday’s win. Gets our vote as Today’s Best Bet and Multi anchor.

Race 3 Big Time Cindy (4)

Big Time Cindy has been racing very consistently at the Manukau Stadium. This looks the ideal opportunity for her to gain a well-deserved victory.

Race 6 Foxtrot Mila (4)

Foxtrot Trot is another that looks to have lobbed into the right race. Expect a big run but just let’s hope the Bookies are generous with their offer.

Race 7 Tilly Wormwood (5)

Tilly Wormwood is racing on the downgrade here. She has the box speed to dictate the terms and looks a big chance to return to the Winner’s Podium.

Race 12 Portland Mark (8)

Portland Mark was placed third to Big Time Tractor at Cambridge on Thursday indicating that he can make his return to the Manukau Stadium a winning one. Bookies’ offer will be interesting.

Race 8 Boom Lateral (7)

The stayer Boom Lateral could find himself leading here. If so, he may prove hard to catch. The price will be right so will he is certainly worthy of two gold coins each way.
