Black Lion cleared out to win by 3¾ lengths on Thursday in 21.42 (BOD 21.31). In a similar lineup he looks well placed to capture a Bi=onus C3 win here. The Bookies’ offer will be interesting, SP Thursday $5.40.

Race 5                          Aces (3)

Aces has won his last three starts, the most recent here in a smart 21.35. Steps up in grade here but he looks to have a touch of class and should extend his winning streak.

Race 9                          Portland Ding Us (2)

The money was astutely placed on Portland Ding Us on Thursday, he scooted clear of Papa Kiwi winning in BOD 21.31. Repeat that run he can make two wins for the week. Beware, the Bookies may open him at cramp odds that may drift at the jump.

Race 10                        Homebush Henry (3)

If the Southern visitor overcomes the ferry issue and gets to Cambridge, Homebush Henry could be a good bet at reasonable odds. Remember he recently chased home Bay Flyer at Manukau.
